The schools we have today not all of them but majority fits the article "if we didnt's have the schools we have today, would we create the schools we have today." the article is really a brain rattler in such a way that i truly but some effort into analyzing the schools that i have taughted in or personally familiar with. truly they would not be the schools i create. i agree with the article that technology has giving student and teacher and edge without limits to the knowledge they can attain. but a teacher with limited capacity, resources and knowledge of the use of modern day technology i feel cannot perform his/her duty effectively. therefore i agree that the way teachers themselves arebeing taught need to be change. this online course is a perfect example as i have learn to do things like blog something i would not have exposed myself to otherwise

i think that having a website geared towards your specific class or subject area is a brilliant idea. it not only keep your students informed but parents and fellow co-workers what going on in your class. in this society we live in everything is technology have a web based resource allows parent and student to be on top of their game. as with any relationship communication is the key and this is a perfect way to communicate and share the same information with everyone.

i beleive kidspiration is a useful tool not because i looked at it, but because i experimented with it.   i download the free trial and allow my neice and nephews to use it to help wtih their homework and math and it work out perfectly.  they were more enthusiastic t see that learning can be colorful an fun.  it improve their understanding and also was so user friendly i spend little or no time explaing to them what to do.

WEB-QUEST NOT ONLY ALLOWS A STUDENT TO CONDUCT A GUIDED RESEARCH BUT IT GIVES THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO USE THE INTERNET NOT JUST FOR CHATS BUT IT GIVES STUDENTS A CHANCE TO DO RESEACH USING THE INTERNET.

INTENET SAFETY

Internet safety is the most important tool students should learn before they are allowed to use the internet. The videos on internet safety present in a fun way the do's and dont of using the internet. Most students use the internet without any knowledge of the predators that are lying wait online for them. as the video reveal if anyone makes a child uncomfortable in any way while on the inertnet they should disconnect and report them right away. what i was most impressed wtih on internet safety is that it emphasized if you report a predator once and nothing is done keep reporting them until someone listen. Most predators are persistent therefore it is important to teach our children to be persistent when standing up for their rights. it is their right to be on the internet free from predators

NJCCC STANDARDS

The NJCCC standards gives a good understanding of technology in students educational process. The standards outline and give detailed information of the knowledge a student should have about technology and its usage at an age appropriate level. The article NJCCC also reveals how student will learn the natural aspects of technology as well as its impact in society. This learning of technology will be grasped at different age level, that by the end of high school a student will have enough knowledge about technology to make the progressing and fuctional adults in society

the site www.iste.org is a good source for information related to the NETS standards. i discovered that NETS for students works hand in hand with NETS for teachers. A good example of this is stdent creativity and innovation, a student cannot demonstrate creativity and innovation unlessa teacher facilitate and inspire students learning and creativity.
